Our school

Mount Nebo State School is a co-educational State Primary school catering for students in the greater Mount Nebo community. It is situated 464m above sea level and services the areas of Jolly's Lookout, Mount Nebo, Mount Glorious and suburbs surrounding The Gap and Samford. The school was established in 1931 as a one teacher school and currently has two classrooms, a tennis court, an OSHC, a library, a multi-media room and an outdoor classroom.

The school’s enrolment is currently 32 students and the children are grouped into two multi-age classes. The Prep-2 children enjoy a class of only 11 students with a full time Teacher-Aide. The 3-6 class has an enrolment of 21 students and also has Teacher-Aide assistance on a regular basis.  Our children are lucky to have a high child to adult  ratio that enables us to successfully cater to each individual child.

Forest School
Our school community values learning in the great outdoors that nature can provide. We operate our Forest School utilising resources from Nature Play Qld. Children
can explore, inquire and discover in this environment. We formally visit Forest School on Monday from 8:30 - 10:30 and Teachers also utilise this space during other times to enhance learning in their classroom.
