Mount Nebo State School is a small school located on the Mount Nebo ridge of the D'Aguilar Range. It was established in 1931 and has a very proud history of successes ranging across many areas of school life.
Our administration building is one of the oldest working school administration buildings in Queensland, however in 2019 our school had a spectacular renovation and now hosts two large modern classrooms as well as a huge covered outdoor learning area.
Our school motto "Consideration for Others" has certainly been demonstrated by the students who have passed through the school throughout the years. Our students are encouraged to do their absolute best and we are proud of the pursuits of the way they care for one another every day.
Education of your child is a three way partnership between students, staff and parents and I encourage all families to be part of this process. This could involve attending meetings about your child's progress, showing your talents, volunteering your assistance in the classroom, in the specialist curriculum areas of the school or supporting the Parents and Citizens Association. Your involvement in your child's schooling and education will assist your child's success at Mount Nebo State School.
I welcome you to visit our fantastic small school only 30 minutes from Brisbane's CBD, where the bell bird songs soothe, the surrounding environment inspires and our staff nurture each and every child as part of our school family.
